Denver Post editorial: Make marijuana legal at federal level and allow states to set own policies
October 5th, 2011
Today's Denver Post features an editorial about recent developments in federal medical marijuana policy and their impact on states such as Colorado. We couldn't help but notice this line at the end:
These developments, in our view, cast a pall on a recognized industry and once again demonstrate the need for the federal government to decriminalize marijuana and allow states to treat it as they, and their citizens, see fit. [CRMLA emphasis]
It's great to see the Post coming out and expressing this opinion. Essentially, they're saying that if Colorado voters approve the 2012 initiative it should not be interfered with by the federal government.
