Carbondale trustee expresses support for ending marijuana prohibition this November

At a local candidates forum in Carbondale this week, a member of the town's board of trustees, John Hoffmann, expressed support for ending marijuana prohibition via ballot initiative this November. According to a report in the Glenwood Springs Post Independent:

[Hoffmann] said alcohol is more of a problem for kids and adults.

"The war on drugs is ineffective. I'm glad we're stepping on the road to legalization," referring to a statewide voter initiative on legalization, Hoffmann said.
