Campaign billboard stirs conversation – take action to keep it going!

The campaign got some attention this week when it posted a billboard above a liquor store just across from Sports Authority Field at Mile High in Denver (1660 Federal Blvd., to be exact). It features a woman stating that she prefers marijuana over alcohol and then asks, "Does that make me a bad person?"

This is the question we want individuals opposed to changing marijuana laws to consider. For far too long, society has looked down upon marijuana users. Despite the fact that marijuana is less harmful than alcohol, a significant segment of the population illogically considers the adult use of alcohol acceptable and the adult use of marijuana irresponsible.

Do you know anyone who feels that way about marijuana users? If so -- and especially if they live in Colorado -- click here to share this thought-provoking billboard with them today!

The billboard marked the beginning of a grassroots public education effort that also involves the distribution of flyers that convey a similar message and provide facts about the relative safety of marijuana compared to alcohol. Along with generating some serious buzz on Facebook, it generated coverage from a variety of news outlets including The Denver Post, The Raw Story, and NBC 9 in Denver, among several others. Below you can watch a great story that appeared on Denver's ABC 7.
