RSS Help

What is RSS?

Are you becoming frustrated with keeping up with the vast amounts of information on the Web? Are you annoyed with frequently checking your favorite blog to see if it's been updated? RSS allows you to subscribe to feeds of your favorite blogs, news sites, etc., so that you can view the latest content all in one place.

How do I use RSS?

To keep up with your favorite RSS feeds, you will need an RSS news reader. Some browsers, such as Safari and Firefox, have RSS readers built in, but there are a plethora of RSS news readers that you can use. The campaign suggests Bloglines, a web-based newsreader that's easy to use. If you're looking for something else, Google provides a large list of RSS readers.

How do I add the RegulateMarijuana.org RSS feed?

The answer to this question depends on the RSS news reader you use -- consult the appropriate help pages. For Bloglines, once you've created an account, click on the tab that says "My Feeds" and then click "Add." Enter

http://www.RegulateMarijuana.org/home/node/feed

in the provided text box, click "Subscribe," and follow the remaining directions. Once you've subscribed, you will see new blog posts appear in the "My Feeds" section as they come in. Also, you can check out the Bloglines notifier help page to learn how you can have Bloglines automatically notify you whenever one of your feeds has new content.

I'm still confused.

The BBC News's RSS help page explains RSS clearly and suggests several different news readers. If you still can't get the RegulateMarijuana.org RSS feed working, let us know.
