Push Polling

CRCM recently obtained a recording of a telephone "poll" that Nevadans are hearing when they answer their phones. The automated "pollster" lies to voters about what CRCM's initiative would do, claiming that it would "make marijuana available in grocery stores and convenience stores similar to buying a pack of cigarettes" ... when in fact the initiative would ban the sale of marijuana in convenience stores, grocery stores, dance halls, and gas stations. The relevant text of the initiative:

Sec. 21. 1. The Department may not issue a license as a retailer or wholesaler to an establishment:

(a) That is located within 500 feet of the property line of a public school, private school or structure used primarily for religious services or worship;

(b) That is engaged in business as a gas station, convenience store, grocery store, night club, dance hall or licensed gaming establishment; or

(c) That sells intoxicating liquor for consumption on or off the premises.
