Submitted on May 17, 2006 - 5:16pm.

More than 70 years after alcohol prohibition was repealed, the head of the Drug Enforcement Administration, Karen Tandy, is still arguing its merits.

I will agree with more regulating for beer, liquor, tobacco and new regulating & taxing for Marijuana with adults being proofed at purchase " , but Alcohol Prohibition ? ", is the loss of jobs .
When you press play Karen Tandy says," um - ah legalizing drugs is not an answer " ...,in my opinion is loose ended wording . After all, Nicotene is a drug, grain Alcohol is a drug , tetrahydracannibrinol is a drug and prescriptions are drugs .
Stick with an iniative by the staff of Marijuana Policy Project . People in general have made up there mind what drugs there going to use, working with that knowledge is nonviolent , constructive, creates jobs and takes the money away from terrorists . With Marijuana or Alcohol prohibition we might just as well pay the enemy to fight the our troops in Iraq, and hire thugs for baby sitters ! Stopping crime is not going to happen, but taking control the gateway will with those approval ballots filled out and turned in .

Most adults smoke Marijuana because their aware of the dangerous physically addictive chemical effects of other of other drugs such as Herion or cocaine . It is teenagers that tend to do the stupidest things such try everything in their reach . I see taxing and regulating Marijuana with a health risk label , as a great idea !
I am supprised to see another blogger - JRedder refer to the Vaults of Erowid, a research paper that is a definite eye opener, and well worth taking the time out of life to read !!!
